Soft, Still Motionless The Sleep Design

‘Soft, Still, Motionless’ by The Sleep Design.

“Formed out of a passion for the beauty of God through sound, The Sleep Design attempts to shed light on the power of a Creator captured in rhythm. A love for jamming and a desire to stray from what pop culture has done to music inspires a band striving to mold melodies worthy of dreamers.” [http://myspace.com/thesleepdesign]

This is The Sleep Design. Their sound falls in the genre of post rock [like Explosions in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, etc.] but what truly defines them is there deep love for Jesus. Their new CD ‘All that is not Music is Silence’ was released last night and is a little over an HOUR long. That’s right, an hour of amazing music. I really do encourage you to give them a listen and give them an opportunity to rock you with amazing music. They truly show that not only our words, but also our actions can give praise to an almighty God. It really is simply beautiful.

[oh and PS if you are really digging them, show them some love by buying their album on amazon.com]

Eventually you will come to realize that love heals everything & love is all there is.

“It’s just that I don’t want to be somebody’s crush. If somebody likes me, I want them to like the real me, not what they think I am. And I don’t want them to carry it around inside. I want them to show me, so I can feel it, too. I want them to be able to do whatever they want around me.” —Perks of Being a Wallflower (via poignant) (via quote-book)

Two Wolves

A cherokee elder was teaching his children about life. He said to them, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It is a fight between two wolves. One is the wolf of joy, love, hope, kindness, and compassion. The other is the wolf of fear, anger, cynicism, indifference and greed. The same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too.” The children thought about it for a moment, and then one child asked. “Which wolf will win?” The elder replied, “Whichever one you feed.”
